Welcome

Welcome to our Village website.  We hope you find it useful.

This site will provide you with information that we believe will be helpful to residents and visitors alike; information is occasionally added and updated, so check back at your convenience.

The town's motto was changed a few years ago to "Along the Fox" and this phrase was displayed on a welcome sign on either side of town on Church Street and Millington Road. The signs have since been taken down and replaced with metallic signs that simply announce that you have entered the town.

The graveyard is vast and populated with over 3,000 people. Most remarkably is a Revolutionary War veteran on the north side. The whole graveyard is stamped with the images of time and meaning specific to Fox Valley. The cemetery itself is located at the top of the Church Street Hill, right as you enter the town, if you are driving north from Newark, IL. It is named "Millington-Newark Cemetery". There is a small chapel on the south side. There are also many remarkable graves.

The Village is home to a few local businesses. It also has its own post office and park. The village park sits on land that once surrounded the operating school. Now this building is used as the town hall where town meetings take place along with other public events.  Millington has expanded across the Fox River.
